Helllooooo!
We’re back from Key West! It was a fabulous six-day vacation to one of our favorite places on Earth. Key West is special to us for a lot of reasons. It was the very first vacation DadJovi and I took together after we first started dating. And it’s where we chose to get married five years ago.
E. has been there once before. When she was 15 months old, we went on a Disney cruise and Key West was our first port of call. We only spent a couple hours there but it was enough time to swing by some of our favorite places.
When it was time to think about what we might do for a vacation this year, we decided it was time to was fully indoctrinate E. into the Conch Republic Army and what better way to celebrate five years than to return to the scene of the crime our wedding city?
Needless to say, I have hundreds of pictures from the past week. I haven’t quite figured out how to blog about some of the things we did, so while I get my thoughts organized, I thought I’d share some pictures of some of my favorite Key West things with you.
Enjoy the show!

I’ve never been to Key West, but I want to go bad. I’ve been in Florida for like, 25 years too. What is my problem? Oh, and EVERYONE tells me I need to go to Sloppy Joes.
We need to buy a lot of stuff for the house this year which is putting a damper on our vacation plans, so Key West might be a nicer cheaper idea since we don’t have to fly. 🙂

You should DEFINITELY go! That’s another reason we did Key West this year — we could drive and we were much more budget conscious than usual. We had most breakfasts and lunches in our room w/ food we brought. You can do it very inexpensively. If you decide to do it, let me know and I’ll come along, er, I mean, totally help you plan it!

I’m also like Paula, been in FL for almost 23 years and never been to Key West. I think the closest that I have been was when I was on a cruise one time that was supposed to stop there but we were so hungover from the first night we slept in too late and the dinghies were no longer taking people in from the weather being too rough. The wifey is from South FL and has been there a handful of times. Hopefully one day we will make a trip down there.
