Like any new parent, I’ve taken a lot of pictures of my first born. A lot. We’re talking thousands here, people. I’m pretty sure my daughter knew what the phrase “say cheese” meant long before her first bite of cheese.
But it’s paid off. I usually don’t have to ask her too many times to stop whatever she’s doing and pose for a quick picture. Exhibit A:
And then there are the times when I realize I’ve created a camera hog. This weekend, we were at Disney, and for our final stop of the day, we decided to watch one of our favorite Epcot bands perform — Off Kilter in Canada. They’re a really fun Celtic band and our girl loves to get her groove on in front of their stage. This weekend was no exception:
Given the fact that it was Disney, there were lots of cameras snapping pics of the band and of little ones enjoying the band. One mom, excited that her little ones were having such a great day, got out her camera and told her little ones to gather for a photo. Who wouldn’t want to capture this memory for years to come?
And who wouldn’t want me be a part of this memory? My girl, of course!
I’ve pixelated the other children’s faces to save them the further trauma of having their vacation memories ruined by the Photo Bomber. And my little E wasn’t just content to be a part of this family’s Disney pictures forever. No, she wanted to approve the picture, too:
Luckily the family was very sweet about having a strange 2-year-old in their photos.
I hear this is how Giselle got her start.
